To combat China blistering whose development over the past year, the second largest economy in the world for much of the industrialized world into recession, today suffers from an unusual deficit - the tourist map.

The Chinese economy grew by 8.7% last year according to government figures released this week has been slightly from the official target of 8% after the increase of 10.7% of cells in the fourth quarter.

2009, 4 billion U.S. dollars more than the US 38 billion U.S. dollars spent by visitors.

The deficit in trade in services, tourism, a new point by saying that China is a significant source of tourist market, which is in addition to being an important goal,  Dai Bin, deputy director of China Academy of Tourism, told China Daily.

It was about 47 million trips to mainland tourists abroad last year by 3.6% compared with 2008, according to the China Tourism Academy of reflection on tourism in China Principle. The number of people in the opposite direction, especially in countries like the United States, Japan and South Korea are feeling the impact of global financial crisis, however, decreased by 3% to 126 million tourists.

The trend should continue, with the fourth largest source of China to the world of international tourists in 2020, with 100 million Chinese tourists expected to travel abroad, according to the UN World Tourism Organization.

The increasing purchasing power and the rules are more flexible on travel outside of China have contributed to increasing the number of Chinese tourists,  said Zhang Hui, dean of Tourism Management at Beijing International Studies University.

Until recently, the Beijing government strictly limited permission for people to travel. Rules were relaxed gradually over time, so groups and individuals as tourists in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were able to travel there. Since then, a program such as the Approved Destination Status (ADS) are known since the early 1990s, now more than 100 countries.

One of the newest destination for granted ADS, the United States, with groups of Chinese tourists allowed to stay there since June, and a relaxation of the visa policy of the United States, the number of tourists to the mainland United States have increased rapidly. Chen Hongxia, directs the Office of Tourism officials in Beijing on Nevada, Las Vegas home, an estimated 750,000 Chinese mainland, went to the United States last year by about 20% from 2008.

Relaxed the visa fees also helped to increase the visits to other countries. Since March of last year, tourists come to Thailand do not pay the previous amount of 230 yuan ($ 33) in visa fees, and Zhang expects more countries to facilitate entry into the country this year.

Get help for this process is the establishment of China-ASEAN free trade area, which entered into force on January 1. The LRA deals with the standard rates and charges on trade between China and the 10 participating members of the Association of Southeast Asian and Chinese Minister of Commerce Ministry and the ASEAN counterparts have worked to make this journey in the region.

The visa requirements for many Chinese tourists are victims of discrimination and reduce their desire to stay,  said Zhang.

Close neighbor of Japan also seeks to earn more spending more and more Chinese. Japanese Tourism Minister Seiji Maehara said in a meeting with Chinese counterpart, Shao Qiwei, in October last year that he wanted to facilitate the visa for Chinese tourists.

Japan has begun issuing visas for travel to mainland China in 2000 and in July last year has extended its visa policy for Chinese individual travelers from Guangdong, Shanghai and Beijing - three cities, the most important centers of commerce, industry and should be funded.

It is also relatively prosperous town of some importance, given that Japan is issuing tourist visas to Chinese travelers each individual is limited, with annual income over 250,000 yuan - the intention, then the Japanese will reduce the potential for prolonged tourists.

Tokyo hopes the visa policies will help attract more Chinese 250,000 visitors a year, and reached 1 million in 2008.

Japan and South Asian countries, both popular destinations for travelers from the financial center of Shanghai,  China's Golden Week  National Day 1 Day last October, said Zhao DEXIANG, the Shanghai International Travel Service Co.

This year, in advance or leave the Chinese lunar new year to February 14 is Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), developed rapidly in the popularity stakes, with rich Chinese tourists to take advantage of discounts for debt-hit destination. UAE won the ACC last September.

He said the sales manager at China International Travel Service (CITS) Cooperation in Beijing, due to the restructuring of debt in Dubai, had several top hotels lower their prices for group travel. CITS promotes five day trip to Dubai for about 6900 yuan, about 30% of over 10,000 yuan last year.  Everything is full custody, but we still have questions every day,  said Zhang. The view from above of the holiday and tourism, business partner of Dubai Tourism Office promotes five day tour of Dubai for 20,000 yuan.

Even without such measures, some 150,000 Chinese tourists in Dubai last year by 55% compared with 2008, said Gao Zichun the Beijing Tourism Bureau office in Dubai.

During the Dubai Shopping offers luxury, has a long way to go before Hong Kong, the production of similar quality, Macao and Taiwan, with its elegant casino, with cultural attractions of the bid date.

Taiwan in third place, taking advantage of facilitating political tensions by establishing direct flights between it and the mainland, in August last year - travelers before third destination like Hong Kong. Mainland and Taiwan airlines are now working up to 270 flights a week between the areas that were previously hostile.

The contrast between the outgoing Chinese population and the prospects for the target countries could hardly be more complete. The main sources of tourists from China, like Japan, South Korea and the United States have seen travelers to reduce travel and reduce travel costs, because their economies are struggling through the recession conditions.

Countries like South Korea, still have to reduce their citizens to travel abroad to combat the recession,  said a representative of Tourism Administration of China.
