Nanjing: what to do on a saturday afternoon

Sometimes, as a resident or visitor of the city will end up with pockets of unexpected time. Heres how to organize a trip by several hours in the southern capital.

Walk Across the Yangtze River Bridge
More than 4,000 meters long, the Yangtze River Bridge is one of the longest bridges in China and was the first in relation to Beijing and Shanghai by train.

In general, foreigners can not read the books, but if you want a home should get to pay the fee of 400 yuan for a library card and you want to your passport. The cost is much lower than if you book in Chinese.

Xuanwu Hu

Hongshan Zoo 
Hongshan Zoo in Nanjing is really funny. This zoo offers several special types of different animals, including pandas, kangaroos and zebras. There is also a small amusement park for children and adults, and a petting zoo. It is also generally show or some kind of circus, performing throughout the day. Nanjing Foreign Language Book Store
Opposite the library is massive Xinhua Nanjing Foreign Language Bookstore. Although more than one company for Chinese Study Chinese speakers, this library also offers many interesting read for native speakers. Of course, there are textbooks for students, but you can Western literary classics section contains a Lonely Planet  travel  and a region that has few contemporary books.

There is also a good place to start if you are looking for teaching materials for ESL classes.

Purple Mountain
Oh, Purple Mountain. There are so many things to do on Purple Mountain. You could get an increase along the paved path upwards, reaching plot. The increase is slightly less than an hour for the average hiker. Or you could just take and take the tram to the top (Round Trip RMB 15/25). You can get there by bus, line 20 from the Drum Tower.
