Visitor arrivals in Macao in package tours for all of last year 5.2 percent decline in 2009 to around 4.65 million, according to figures released Friday by Statistics and Census City.
In December last year, the number also decreased 3 percent from one year to 486,382, with visitors from Japan (25,159) increased by 24.9 percent, while mainland China (332550) Hong Kong (25,931) and Taiwan (25,439) decreased by 4 percent, 20.3 percent and 31.4 percent, or numbers.
Meanwhile, the number of residents traveling abroad on package travel decreased by 10 percent over the previous year to 206,292 years ago. The mainland of China and Japan were the most popular tour itineraries, the bureau said.
