Whether you are looking for a parking lot, queue for luggage that is checked for safety, research and hiding your door for a decent meal - the mad rush to finally be able to get more intense than the flight Buckle your little small space.

A new report shows that airports in North America seem to be able to experience, add the pain and frustration.

The study, conducted by JD Power & Associates surveyed more than 12,000 people, held a round trip between January and December 2009.

They were asked to rate the airports of departure and destination categories, such as access, the current record, you will have the safety, comfort in the terminal, the choices offered food and luggage.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Michigan received the highest marks at major airports - the maintenance of 30 million passengers or more per year - and some of the most famous airports in the country at the bottom.

Detroit Metro officials were  pleased and honored  by the above,  said Wayne County Airport Authority CEO Lester Robinson.
The results are particularly surprising given the fact that the airport is tied for 12th place in the previous study two years ago.

So what changed?

Passengers seem to be the airport,  two clean, pleasant and efficient, the new terminal with shops and restaurants as entertainment,  Robinson said in a statement. Airport North Terminal opened in autumn 2008, the McNamara Terminal has been operational since 2002.

Robinson also praised the airline to help Detroit to do what he called a trusted nodes.

Much credit goes to our airline partners who are committed to  improving the performance and baggage handling,  said Robinson.

Detroit Metro has done very well in classes and baggage terminal, according to JD Power & Associates.

Committed to Colorado, Denver International and Minneapolis / St Paul International Airport in Minnesota, for second place in the study, followed by Orlando, Florida and Sky Harbor in Phoenix, Arizona.

Airports to meet the basic needs of passengers with the most favorable rating in the report, said Stuart Grief, vice president and General Manager of JD Power & Associates.

Thus, while clients enjoy benefits such as wireless Internet access to an airport, focusing on good organization and comfort. Signaling effective, which seems harmless, may be particularly important for travelers,  said Griffin.

There is still a matter of a passenger in and around the airport, easy and efficient as possible,  said Griffin.

The five major airports, which landed at the bottom of the satisfaction surveys, some of the biggest names of airline passengers, including John F. New York Kennedy, Philadelphia International, Pennsylvania, Miami, Florida and Los Angeles, California.

Newark International in New Jersey was the last survey.

A spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which showed the JFK and Newark to operate issued in previous surveys.

We have our responsibilities to our customers seriously,  said Ron Marsico added that about 15 billion U.S. dollars have been spent the last 15 years to improve the operations and experiences of passengers.

Newark International is located in Terminal B, a major modernization program that has led to a larger space within the luggage, and large areas of safeguards,  said Marsico.

There are financial incentives for airports to keep passengers happy.

People find the  joy  of their experience on average 45 percent more in an airport that those who say he was  disappointed , found in JD Power & Associates report.
