HP's acquisition of 3Com deal has received European Union approval

HP's acquisition of 3Com deal January 12 of the EU Commission's approval, thus increasing the HP network equipment market.

Hewlett-Packard last year, in November agreed to spend 30 billion acquisition of network equipment maker 3Com, to expand its product portfolio and increase in the rapidly growing Chinese market and to better compete with Cisco Systems.

The European Commission said in a statement that the transaction will not be marked to prevent effective competition in Europe. The transaction has been approved, the companies do not need to make any concessions.

The world's largest technology company Hewlett-Packard has said in the second quarter of fiscal year to complete this acquisition. Hewlett-Packard since 2005, has acquired 30 companies.
